Mylotting. Why would they give me an I-pad?

Good morning, friends. Ever since I started to write with a computer instead of using my type writer, I have had to waste time in thinking whether I was being very lucky or that I was the subject of a scam. First someone appealed to my humanity. Sign here, add your e-mail and we can stop Amina from being stoned to death. After a long time I decided that either Amina had already been stoned in spite of my signing against it or that someone was using my name for other things. Other offers continued. I stopped reading when the web offered to enlarge my penis. Say WHAT??? I´m a woman. Now it is money. Not that I would not be happy with some extra money. But a legacy from an uncle in Nigeria? And today I could choose between a cellphone or an I-pad if I told them where to send it. I am bored, friends. This covid is turning me nuts! So I took a time to decide whether a cellphone or an I-pad had more chances to reach my hands. And after a minute I said to myself I would not get either Reality is something else. Reality is that in this moment I have to get up to give Luna her meds. Do you have those mails too? Now they make me laugh. And wonder. How many people fall for them? I´m now going for Luna´s pills and then I´ll go to your posts. That´s real.

@Kandae Well, at times they do get away with scamming elderly seniors.

@Gabugs I just read your comment and wondered how old are you as it is not in your profile. I don´t think that being scammed has to do with age. I am 76 and I consider myself a person who will not be subject to scamming, and specially not because of my age. I have learned a lot during my life and have taught to younger people a lot.

I always mark such emails as spam so I don't get them anymore

@marguicha Just choose mark as spam on the option and delete. I did so frequently for some days in December and I haven't got them this January

I don't see emails like that. But I wouldn't open one of them if I did get it. (Opening a scam email is almost as bad as responding to one. Those emails are tracked and, as soon as someone opens one, it tells the scammers they found an account that someone actually pays attention to, so they send more scam emails to it. I keep trying to explain that to pony but he thinks I'm crazy. *shrug*) Enjoy your new phone or iPad, if it ever arrives.

@marguicha Oh yes, I agree such trash gets more & more painful eventually. Initially, you may fall for ones like " your uncle in Africa left you a fortune." Or your school friend is very ill and needs money to pay the doctors bills" YES, PUTTING THEM IN THE SPAM FOLDER, WORKS.

Those are all scams. I just received one on the 16th that had the name of one of my friends. I wrote about it here. "She" wanted me to send her a $300 Apple Gift Card for her niece and she would reimburse me. It was all a scam.
