Six hours to wait for an ambulance for an old lady with a broken leg outside !!!

An old lady fell in our local park. I hear the bone snap. Her lower leg was not pointing the same way as her foot. It took me and another guy 15 minutes to carry her to a park bench as she was in that much pain. We also had to catch her dog. The guy phoned for an ambulance. They said she was not a priority as she was conscious and with someone. I was not having that. She was getting cold and it was getting colder. There was no way we could get her to the road. Six hours is code for get a taxi to A&E/ E.R we are busy mate. This time I phoned and told them the lady was 75(she was 67), it was a compound fracture (bone through coming the skin...it wasn't ) and she was a lawyer. They prioritized her quickly after that. I sat with her for one hour and let the other guy go to work.. Her friend came with a blanket and the ambulance too her to the hospital. SIX Hours for an old lady alone in a park? Seriously ? Crews deal with 20 hoax calls a day and time wasters on top of that but an old lady in the park with a mangled leg in shock doesn't deserve that.

So glad you were at lest there with her, That certainly is not fair at all and if she was alone anything could have happened, Shocking indeed, I hope everything will be alright with her,

That's too long a time to wait for an ambulance. You did well to sit with her in her hours of pain.

That is uncalled for since that poor woman deserved better treatment.
