Second Try on Posting

I had a post all typed out and was in the process of adding a photo when poof my browser closed. I am not sure if I did it or if Duke did it. He hasn't settled down yet and will only be still if he is constantly being scratched.
Today was chilly with a high of 35. We spent the day indoors other than feeding the chickens. Duke went outside to get some sunshine until the sun started going down and then he went to his kennel on our back porch for an hour before coming inside.
Nothing happening tomorrow. We will be hibernating again and staying inside.
I'm ready for this cold stuff to be over. I am afraid that we are in for it this year though. We have more on the way after we pull out of this one.

Yes, there is quite a stretch of below-normal temps coming up. It's 2 degrees here as I type this. Stay warm! 57 days until spring.

@LindaOHio The time changes back in early March and that will help some too. At least longer daylight hours.

Next week my son and I go on our annual backpacking trip for a week. And of course it's the one week where our temperatures are going to plummet, with lows in the upper 20s. There's actually a slight chance of snow next Friday and Saturday! Under normal circumstance I would enjoy that, but not when I'm camping and exposed to the elements!

We have been hibernating in our bedroom since the pellet heater which is in the den is out again. I don't know how much more I can take of this. Tonight we have a low of 20 and that will be a couple of degrees colder for us because we are north of the town the forecast is for. This coming week we have more of it also.

@moffittjc The wind has been bad and although I burn way out in the field the man complains that I'm going to burn the house down.

I know how you feel since I do not like to step outside in the mornings to feed the cats unless I am wearing my jacket and knit cap.
