Clairvoyance Runs In Our Family

In the mid 60's I was a teenager and my mom and I had moved back to Boise from Pocatello. My mom found an older two-bedroom house just a few doors down from my grandparent's house. My grandfather was gone now and with my grandmother alone it was nice that we were able to be so close. I had settled in middle school and my mom found a job in a restaurant. I remember my mom paid $50 payments on that house. One morning just before dawn my grandmother came wrapping on the door. She was frantic. My uncle had been out of town and was supposed to be back the day prior. She knew something was wrong. He wasn't just late, something wasn't right and she knew it. I recall this day like it was yesterday. We soon learned that my uncle, aunt, and a family friend had been in an accident. My uncle had bought a surplus Army jeep and was driving it back from out of town when the front axle had snapped and the three of them were plunged into Arrow Rock Dam. My aunt was picked up on the highway after crawling up a 100-foot embankment. My uncle had perished when he attempted to carry his friend out of the water. He was found with his arms hooked together in a circle as if trying to haul a body. Our family friend was partially paralyzed and had no use of half of his body. My uncle had died trying to save him. I think my grandmother had had a cognitive dream and it was no wonder she had been so frantic.
