Ah, this song is right up @Crossbones27 ‘s alley.
The rest of you will probably be nauseated, so I’ll give you a more “commercially appealing” bonus song today. Meanwhile, here’s today’s song with “kiss” in the title.
Kiss Off - Violent Femmes
Rags to riches: the Violent Femmes were singing on the street corner and the Pretenders walked by and saw them. They asked the Femmes to open their Milwaukee show that night. The rest is history.
A very complicated history. This band has broken up I don’t know how many times, and there have been lawsuits (bassist Brian Ritchie sued lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Gordon Gano for letting Lay’s Potato Chips use “Blister in the Sun” in a TV commercial
), but somehow they manage to survive.
So you won’t know this one. You probably won’t like this one. But in my weird, eclectic music world, it fits just fine.
Kiss Off
Written by Gordon Gano
Recorded by the Violent Femmes
From Violent Femmes, 1983
I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record!

@FourWalls Thats my girl, and in the spirit of NCIS Los Angeles, I meant my partner in crime or something like that. I did indeed enjoy, more my style and love Pretenders, always good people, and always a neat story. People should pay more attention to that how true music is made.
