Cape Coral police officer Chelsea Armato was given an award from Chief Tony Sizemore and Deputy Chief Michael Catania on Tuesday the "Lifesaving Award" at police headquarters after she was in the right place at the right time on September 11, 2021 when she was driving home in the evening when she witnessed an auto accident on a road. The driver of a Ford Mustang that was crashed into a ditch and then went flying 37 feet before slamming back on a road before rolling 185 feet to a stop as it fell off of a road. Officer Armato used her first aid skills to apply a tourniquet to the driver of the auto who was speeding around 100 miles per hour on the road who was Ariel Gonzalez Rodon who then taken by ambulance to a local hospital to have surgery to amputate on his arms that was injured in the auto accident. My congratulations go to officer Armato who has done her best to serve her community to the best of her ability.

Another example of the police protecting and serving the community. And some want to defund the police, geez!

That is what I keep saying on news sites that there are no real life Super Friends, Teen Titans, Avengers and Justice League to save the crime victims if there are no police officers around.

Armato was in the right place at the right time. It's too bad that the driver was speeding and had to have an amputation.

That is the sad part of the story that the driver lost one of his arms due to speeding on the road.

She did a good deed. I’m sure the man who was hurt appreciates her help.

I agree with you that Ariel who was the victim of the auto accident really appreciates the act of kindness that Officer Armato did that evening.
