Amber Renaye Weber and her daughter Michele Smith who were 21 years of age and 1 year of age when they went missing from their home in Fayetteville North Carolina in January 2017 were found alive and well on Tuesday in Bunnlevel North Carolina by members of the Fayetteville Police Department and the U S Marshalls.
Thanks to Fayetteville Police Department Investigate Assistant, Sonia Roldan who was assigned by the police to take over the case in 2021, she asked the assistance of the United States Marshall's Office to help her find the missing couple.
Thanks to the team up of both the police and marshals who followed every lead that was submitted by from persons who were interested in locating the missing couple, the couple who were physically abused by the persons who were with them are safe and sound.
The only clue that one of them was alive is when Amber went to get medical treatment in Harnett County in February 2018 but the family was not able to contact Amber and her daughter at that time.
Thank goodness that both Amber and Michele were found alive and well after being away from their families for a period of five years.
The police will likely get some very important information on where did Amber and Michele stay with during their time away from their loved ones.

It is not known if they were kidnapped or taken willingly since the relatives reported them missing one month after they did not come home.

@RubyHawk That is true. You have a good point about the mom going away willingly.

@Deepizzaguy If the mom left willingly it couldn’t be called a kidnapping. An interesting situation.

It seems the woman did not want to be found, which is often the case. Maybe we will learn the rest of the story when more details are shared by the family.

That could be the case that the missing woman did not want to be found due to tensions at home.

I have seen many detective shows on televisions that deal with cold cases. The detectives admit it is stressful in searching for the missing persons but when they find the missing persons alive, they admit it is worth it.

I am sure that both Amber and Michele went through a rough time being away from their families.

The same with me since many of these persons who vanish usually wind up deceased.
