Even a poet, Robert Ginsberg, expounded on the value and personal adventure of LSD. Whitey Bulger, a convicted crime boss, was part of a prison program he had been told was an experiment aimed at finding a cure for schizophrenia. He was given LSD for over a year and he later found out this program was actually to see what the long-term effects of this drug might be.
