The Zen master, Roligth Zerjoskin, was talking to his students about rights.
He told them that the body thinks that it has rights, and freedom too.
But the body seeks comfort, and therefore, it sits mostly in opposition of our soul, which is not here to have a slouch, but to learn, and grow from its experiences, with love.
Then, he went on with this prepared speech, about rights:
"Are we meant to be happy? Do we have a right to be happy? What is a right anyway? Do we have a right for anything really?"
"The truth of having a right about anything is a selfishly implied idea that stems from your idea also of having freedom. You are not free, and you never will be."
"You have no rights, except for those that you try to create for yourself."
"The paradox to this is that all is given to you, and you do not need rights to take what is yours. All is yours not by right, but by design."
"In worldly terms, the ruled have given rights to the rulers to rule them. In most modern-day Governments, this consent is given by voting."
"The rights of anyone in humanity are given to them by others."
"God does not give out rights, only humans think that they have to do that."
"The question of rights only comes up when some humans are placed in a position by other humans where the ones wielding more power then steal away the rights of those under them, by depriving them of their freedom."
"When anyone is restricted, they will often think that something has been taken away."
"God-given rights cannot be taken away. It is all in your mind, this idea of being able to lose freedom, or any right that you think that you might have."
"God never takes anything away, so in heavenly terms, if nothing is taken, everything remains given."
"Freedom is not to be discussed then, but merely lived."
"Rights are not to be listed, but simply forgotten, or not dwelled upon."
"When you live by only serving God, all of these rights will follow you, rather than being pushed out to the front of your life, from your trying to own them, and to make them yours. Nothing is yours, not even a right."
"Has our consciousness got anything to do with why we think that we have rights?"
"God created each soul which, when linked to a human, gains access to a mirror of consciousness, which they can use to see themselves within."
"This consciousness mirror can create an alter ego in you, which then tries to own this consciousness for itself, not seeing that it is not real. It is merely a projection, an add-on to who you are, and the right to be conscious is not to be owned, but to be utilised from the human side of you, to see into truth, or into God from."
"A soul cannot connect to God consciously. It knows him unconsciously, but the human was created by God so that each soul, or part of him, could get to see itself within God, and so better fulfil its own role for him, within his kingdom."
"Should we try to safeguard our rights, or try to protect others rights then, or is a misguided thing to do?"
"Love is not a right, it is a given."
"This means that you can not force anyone to love, by giving them a right to love, or by trying to protect them from their own fears."
"Everybody must grow from who they are, not from a protected position."
"Never try to stand up for rights of others, because you do not know what these rights are. The others must come to own their rights, for themselves, not be told what they are."

The Zen master's face was shadowed mysteriously in the dim light as he spoke.
It gave an unworldly look to him, even as his words mostly sounded unworldly to his students too. There was much here in this talk for them to chew, and to think over, for themselves.

Yes, we cannot force anyone to do anything for us, to be truthful to us too, we can't force that either.

I always feel that even though the Lord looks out for us and is there when we need Him we must also help ourselves, So I am lately working hard on my laptop and posting and doing all kinds of things to make a little here and a little there and you know what? the Lord sees my efforts and I am doing quite well with a bit coming in here and there so I do not sit back and say I will be provided for I help myself and it all begins to happen,

Yes, my wife says that too to me sometimes.
We must help ourselves, and not get fat sitting around just taking handouts from others.
We need to see things that can be done, and then start to do them, as which, you are doing there.

Some wannabe leaders promise much, even the moon so to say, to get to power.
Do they come with anything on their own? They end up "robbing Peter to pay Paul" not forgetting their own big chunk of the cake!
When we talk about rights they come with responsibilities too - all cut both ways. We should not fight for rights at the cost of others benevolence. Others should not sacrifice so that a few live it up.
When society lives by the credo of oneness, the supposed rights of a few melt to enjoy the oneness - the uniqueness in each will then benefit the whole. Then genuine love uplifts everyone and all differences dissipate.

Rights, and the fight for such rights, shows us that something is not right with society, right now.
Yes, when oneness is lived from truly, from real love, no rights are required, as all rights are given freely, and seen to be what they truly are by all too.

@innertalks We should show our prowess by contributing to the whole so that the less well endowed too have an inclusive life.
It should be from each according to their ability but to each as per their needs, Of course, some freeloaders can have a party then!
However, we get carried away by misplaced priorities and pursuits that end-up sowing discord in society and between countries.
I can see also a trend where other countries help (interference?) is sought to get to power. The modern technology comes handy to them to spread misinformation and falsehood. It has become a new ballgame altogether.
