Hubby's Projects

I have been after my couch potato hubby to get outside on warm days and get some things done. There are several projects he can work on that really need doing. Here are a few of the things I have on his "honey do" list:
1) Help with yard work. Still have limbs on other side of the house that need picking up and burning.
2) Cut privot bushes from around trees. There are only a couple that need doing. I've been keeping up with that pretty good.
3) Pull out a furniture project from the shed. Have several items that need a quick fix: a dresser that needs runners fixed for drawers, vanity needs refinishing, antique dest needs more sanding so it can be stained, etc.
4) Cut low-haning limbs so they don't hit you while mowing. (He will do that soon because it annoys him.)
5) Clean out flower beds in front of house. (There is a tree growing up there that needs saw or the saw pole to get it down.)
6) Take tree down growing up in the old camelia bush.
7) Clean back porch off (or assist me in doing it.)
8) Clean front porch off (or assist me in doing it.)
9) Make a run to waste management after he gathers up junk around here and get it out of here.
I could list more but I think that is a good start. Guess what his project is/was this week??
He decided to clean out his boat. It is full of leaves, trash, and all kinds of things he decided to "store" in it. He's still working on this project.
He also but the cutting blade on the weed eater so he can take some things down that I can't get with the master clippers.
We are making progress!

I don't miss that part of having a wife. Things here get done when I feel like doing them and not a minute earlier. *shrug*

You might want to ask her if she thinks it's easy to make me do anything I'm not ready to do.
Last year, when we had the foot of snow on the ground, she thought she was going to force me to shovel the driveway so I could take her to Walmart to buy Little Debbies... We had a houseful of food, otherwise. She got to wait until Mother Nature took care of the snow, two weeks later, before I started the car.
To be fair, she did trick me into shoveling half the driveway by telling me if I'd shovel half, she'd do the other half. When my half was finished, she said it was too cold for her to shovel and tried to force me to shovel her half.

@kareng Is he retired so has time to sit around? Or is he still working and sitting around to relax on the weekends?

Today's work was all in anticipation of moving the boat where his enclosed utility trailer is and putting it over where the boat was. That gives him easier access to the boat when he starts doing all the maintenance to get the motor running again.
It is a start!

I make honey-do lists; but my hubs never looks at them. He has his own set of priorities; and none of them match mine...and he's the world's biggest procrastinator.

The trouble I have here is when "friend" comes to visit, he can't seem to do anything independently. He is always asking questions about where this is, and that is. He wanted to cut branches the other day. I said go right ahead as long as you can do it independently..if i have to answer questions every 4 minutes it is not very helpful.

Mine is like that in the house. He can't ever find anything and he losed his tools too. He will say that he knows he put it right there but it is not there. lol
When I get my hubby out cutting branches he thinks I have to be right there to move them out to the burn pile...PRONTO. I think these two are alike in not being able to work independently. I know mine is like that on a lot of things, not all but now that you mention it...bingo!

I thought that was actually your husband in the picture, working on your "honey-do" list.
