It feels like only a year ago that I'm rewinding and playing our caseete player. I wish I have kept even a few. Reminds I found a local comics Funny that now costs $20. Those old items dont lose it value it seems they are treasured in the artworld. It would be so interesting for me to hear a song played from a vinyl player. Its ironic that now that songs are easily available and I'm not listening too much. What a waste.

Yes casette player days were amazing. With New technology, all these vintage items have become obsolete sadly

@Rashnag I had a Kashtan tape recorder with rollers. The tape was always breaking!

I just looked up old books and they are selling at very expensive price on etsy. Makes me think I should have a stockroom for everything I have just in case they become expensive in the future haha.

Hey. Vinyl is back and with a vengeance. Who knows? Cassettes might return again as well. Anything is possible.

It has been a while that I have seen one too. It looks like those cassette tapes just disappeared when the digital age came in where music can easily be copied digitally that is why the use of cassette tapes slowly faded into obscurity.

That is right. I wish I have kept one. It is a good piece of conversation or decoration item LOL.

Yeah, I haven't bought a cassette-tape since ... well, ever! as I probably haven't USED one since I was a teenager (over 20 years ago now). The last CD I got was a free one sent to me by Shepherd's Chapel (broadcast bible-study), or maybe one with a bunch of Kenneth Copeland sermons on it. But now most of the movies I watch are on streaming services (or cable-TV).

@yoalldudes Huh? You mean YOU are a younger generation (born AFTER music was sold on cassette-tapes)?

Now there is more reason to keep them. They still have commercial value as vintage items.

i miss the cassette tape. i held on to my walkman and tapes until i had to switch to CDs which i didn't really like because they weren't as sturdy as the cassette tapes. i heard that these tapes are being sold on ebay and on facebook.

On the contrary, the value of old objects increases over time!
