A 58 year old man who was walking in the woods in Gerrish Township nine days ago who got lost since he must have had a memory loss problem is grateful that Roscommon County Deputy Dakota Darsow and his K9 partner Ghost were able to find the lost man safe and sound after Ghost used his senses to locate him after he traveled a half mile. The local police in Gerrish Township asked for help from the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office to assist them in finding the lost man since the weather outside was 11 degrees Fahrenheit outside in the evening after the local police received a call from a concerned person. The lost man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for exposure of being in the cold weather. The condition of the lost man whose name is not known was not released to the public. Score one more win for the police and the K9 Unit.

They are the best partner that a police officer has to work with.

The canine unit does so much good. They can sniff out anything. The police handlers where they were working with the dogs at the park were kind enough to show off the dogs for me. They are beautiful well trained dogs.

I agree with you that the dog partners of police officers are their best friends.

Dogs are brilliant. They can do so much with their sense of smell and can detect a person miles away

That's so neat because dogs like that are trained to be these killers but not really. They also train them to know when someone needs help. I do laugh at people who try to pet them though, those working dogs and not meant for amusement. They have a job and they know it, what makes it cool also but people be stupid. Only guy that gets to pet that guy is the police man that handles him and the guy he saved. Dogs appreciate that even of that caliber. what they work for.

Glad they were able to find the man and rescue him, I will never understand why people go alone into the woods, I would never,

That is a good question since I fear walking into any kind of wooded area that I do where it leads.

I love seeing and hearing the rescues of people this K9-dog is doing. Dogs are very smart animals.
