Todd Wordbridge was afraid of his own body. He felt as if he could not trust it anymore. Todd was in his early 70's now, and he was hating his getting older day by day, with all of the associated little problems that seemed to be coming up for him now. He had had one stroke already, and he was sorely afraid after that that another one would happen to him too. He knew that there was not much that he could do about that. He could take his prescribed tablets, but just the same, the chance was always there, that something like that might happen to him, once again. He was not in control of his own body, he thought to himself in his mind. It did things independently of himself, it seemed, and so he was fearful of what it might do to him next. Sure, enough, within the next month, he had something called, "a stone in the ear." An ear rock, had rocked into the wrong place in his head. They are extra debris, or fallouts, that nobody would want. "Ear rocks" are tiny crystals of calcium carbonate, called otoconia, which exist in our inner ear. If they fall out of place, into the ear canal, they can sometimes cause vertigo, dizziness, or imbalance, and nausea. These minute calcium "stones", inside our inner ear canals, help us to keep our balance. As a result of this happening to Todd, his vessel, his body, failed him, or at least, he thought so. He could do very little to control it. Todd was unaware of what was happening to himself, at the time. He was very scared, and he thought that he was dying. He could not walk, nor move much, and everything was spinning, for him. Todd started vomiting, and then vomiting blood. Todd thought that he was at the end of his life line, as he was getting progressively worse, and worse. Todd called the ambulance. It took them half an hour to arrive, and he was getting desperate by then. Todd had to crawl, across his floor to the door, to try to open it for them. He could not walk. They took him away on a stretcher, where he continued vomiting, and wrenching, somewhat painfully, spluttering blood into the bag. In the hospital, they put Todd on a drip, (putting a calming stuff, and other sustaining fluids, into him to stop the nausea, and vomiting), and after eight hours of tests, and checking him over, Todd was finally discharged, and he came home again. They also did some type of a body manoeuvring technique to roll the misplaced stone back into its rightful place, which after that, happened, Todd started to at last feel better. This is called the Epley manoeuvre. (There are various other manoeuvres too, and another is the Semont Manoeuvre. These should only be done, though, if you know what you are doing.) Todd is always sort of worried now, in the back of his mind, that this most shocking experience might repeat itself at any time, again to him. Apparently, as described above, a crystal in the ear, moved from its rightful place, into the fluid in the ear canal, and this started all of the trauma, hence they call it, "a stone in the ear." The blood was caused by an oesophagus tear, which can occur with such violently induced vomiting. What can we do about such fears, and feelings, that we are not in control of, in our life, in our mind, and in our body? Our body is a separate entity to our soul, borrowed by our soul for us, in this life. Our soul can control all, our body, mind, and our life, but we cannot control these things with just our mind alone, and so when we want to control things with our mind alone, and cannot, that is a recipe for disaster, in that we often then feel out of control of our life, and fears then develop in us then too. We need to trust our heart, and its connection to our soul, that all is well, and that all is always well for us, and all will be well for us then, despite all, or any of the outer circumstances, currently playing out for us, in our life too. You said it so well we need to trust our heart which is in connection with our soul and which in turn is in connection with the loving Creator.

Yes, we cannot really ever just live from our body, and mind alone, and feel complete in that way of living. The only real completeness comes to us from our connection to our greater self, via our heart, our conscience, our gut, our intuition, or other names for this most vital connection, which is our link to our soul, and also our connection to God too, as you put it well there too. Yes, our soul remains a part of God, and so when we connect to it, it helps us to connect better to God too.

Everything that might go wrong in my body l get the spirit of fear. I try to control it through prayer and and Bible verses - especially psalm 91.

While we should pay heed to our body and mind, at the other extreme of ignoring them, it benefits us to get our priorities right by trusting our heart which connects us to our soul and creator himself. Then a higher intervention guides us right through our lives here and even beyond. The predicament humanity finds itself in is due to our connecting our existence and identity with our body and allowing our minds to lead us astray. Individual pursuits should be subservient to our overall unity and well being leading to a higher spiritual path and existence. Then we feel connected to the whole of creation and creator to forget short term goals dictated by body and mind.

@Shiva49 (23634) Footprints are harder to make, and to see, as we age too, but we should never regret any of the footprints that we have left. Even a king tide does not wash away any such footprints, made in the hearts of others, made from our living of our lives here too.

@Shiva49 Perhaps, the reverse of that is right too, nothing without purpose is life. God has placed purpose within every part of his creation then too.

@innertalks Yes, people talk about Akashic Record and that looks quite logical to me. No life is without purpose.
