Hey, gang! You should see the view out my window (and you will later). No sun, looks to be windy and rainy, but NO SN*W. That’s the important thing! Before I head out to places unknown I’ll give you a kiss….musically speaking. Here’s another song with “kiss” in the title. The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s in His Kiss) - Betty Everett Although blessed with a dynamite voice, Betty Everett’s “popular” career was basically limited to this 1964 classic. I guess that’s because it was 1964, and we had an invasion of British insects (Beatles) that year. Everett did go on to do a duet with Jerry Butler on the oft-recorded “Let It Be Me” (originally a hit for the Everly Brothers). She was only 61 when she passed away in 2001. This has been covered a number of times, including by Cher. Everett’s version was itself a cover. It’s a feel-good song that brings back all those feel-good song memories of the 60s.
