I was watching an Infomercial for Time/Life Music's "AM Gold". It was a great commercial to watch because they were playing a lot of music from the 60s. One song that stuck in my head was "These Eyes" by The Guess Who. Not one of my favorite songs; but I don't control what turns into an earworm.
The Guess Who was a Canadian Blues and Psychedelic Rock band; and "These Eyes" was released in the US in1969. It hit #6 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart. Oddly enough, the band didn't want to release this ballad because it was too much of a departure from their hard rock music. This is the group that also recorded "American Woman".
