So Tired of Waiting

I have a Tracfone. I like this option because I can pay payments on HSN for it. It's convenient. I was thinking of going with T-Mobile and getting unlimited minutes and texts. With the Tracfone program, you have to buy minutes. Or, so I thought. Last time I called them they didn't have an unlimited plan. Now they do. 12 Mb of data, and unlimited minutes and texts for one year. I am so excited. T-Mobile would have been about $600 for a year of service whereas Tracfone had the unlimited for a year for only $206.
I hate it so much because I have to wait so long to get an answer on all my insurance calls and now I have been sitting here for 31+ minutes waiting to make a dental appointment for my grandson. This is about an average hold time too. Finally, after waiting for 33 minutes the rep answered. Nothing is available right now. Great! I hate dentists so very much and can't even get in. Have to keep calling. I've been trying for months.

We gave up our landline. It cost $50 a month. We do a lot of texting too.

@RubyHawk ........Mine went with my cable. I can't see paying that for a landline although sometimes I do miss it.

@celticeagle My landlines goes with my computer and Tv. If I gave up my landlord I’d have to get a better cell phone which would cost me more.

I hate waiting, too. That's why I try to do as much as possible online. Glad you finally found an unlimited plan, because now adays you need them. Everything's unlimited now just about.

I do as much as I can online too. But, when I have a question I have to set on hold waiting every time. It's good insurance but it takes forever to get through to someone.

@kaylachan .......It makes me nervous when I have to set on hold and I have a plan where I am 'buying' my minutes. I don't feel like I am now.

I feel the same way about Verizon. T-Mobile is my second choice. I like the option of paying installment payments on the initial phone too.

I have a basic flip phone and a prepaid plan. I pay about $7 a month plus $.25 per minute. I hardly ever use my phone; so it works out for me. Can't the dentist's office call you if they get a cancellation?

We use our phones more than that. I have medical stuff I make phone calls about and my daughter keeps up with her grandkids so they do get used quite a bit. Hanging on hold waiting for answers to transportation and such takes a while. My medical question day before yesterday took two tried and about 30 minutes. It adds up so fast.
