What I know about firefighters is that they not only do their best to rescue animals and humans from dangerous situations, the firefighters who are trained into delivery of babies when an emergency happens. On Wednesday morning, Plainfield Firefighters were called to service by the dad whose wife was getting ready to deliver a child. The couple who were going to a local hospital in Plainfield during a snowstorm when they realized that they were not going to make it in time. The couple stopped at a Jimmy John's restaurant parking lot where a firefighter crew who were close by offered their services to deliver a baby girl who is a very healthy baby girl. Then the firefighters took the couple and the baby girl to a local hospital safe and sound. Just another day at the office for our firefighters who do their best to serve their community.

That's wonderful they delivered the baby in the snowstorm. Babies don't care about the weather when it's time to be born. I'm glad everything turned out well.

The same thoughts I have about the firefighters doing their best to make sure a baby came into the world safely.

Oh wow, that would have been a very cold introduction to the world for the little baby.

That could happen since child names are given upon events related to their birth.

I really admire the work of firefighters who do not get the admiration from the news media that they richly deserve.
