Kendall County deputies Tyler Gianotti and Jacquie Mielke did a very good job of rescuing two persons and a dog that were trapped in a burning townhome in Montogomery Illinois last week. I will say about the two deputies is that they had to catch two persons who were trapped in the upper floor of the burning building that happened at night when both women had no choice but to jump at least 20 feet above the ground to the floor below so that they absorb the impact of the two females who had no choice to jump off of the upper floor or burn to death from the flames inside their home. Before the two women jumped off of the burning building, their dog was tossed from the upper part of the townhouse where one of the deputies caught the dog from being seriously injured in the fall from the impact of hitting the ground. Officer Gianotti caught one of the women while his partner caught the second person who jumped off of the upper part of the building was on fire. The two officers then took the two females and the dog away from the burning building who then were taken by first responders to be treated for their injuries. All three parties involved in the fire are expected to make a full recovery. The reason the police did the rescue maneuvers instead of the firefighters was that police arrived ahead of the firefighter in this incident that likely caused severe damage to the townhome. The deputies involved in the rescue mission insist that they are just doing their work to serve their communities even though they are grateful that people call them heroes.

That is true since it takes a lot of courage to catch someone who jumps to the ground from 20 feet.

I agree with you since catching someone who jumps from a building is tough on the person catching them.

That would have been very tricky to try to catch falling people, not to mention a dog as well. Well done them.

The police officers admitted it was tough on them to catch the dog and the two jumpers but worth the reward of doing their duty.

That is very true. Police officers and firefighters have tough jobs but they love what they do.
