I want to grow this flower

Last year when my brother gave me this two pot plants with guppies on them. I didn't gave attention to the flower that was on it. Until one of the flowers died when I tried to do root transfer, I left the other one alone.
Then that same year my brother tries to grow them in an oblong bucket with soil. I tried the same thing with the seeds he gave me, but two of them died when stems got cut by accident.
Anyways, I got encourage to do it again when my brothers plant finally grew a flower. Now I'm doing research online and make sure this one grows smoothly.
Good thing we got bees flying around.

If you have a big pond that would grow well just use soil and some space for them to grow. you won't need much attention to it since if they are planted right they will not need much of your attention. I am looking for those varieties that are good for aquarium tanks. Their leaves when they are underwater look good.

@Letranknight2015 Well I think you need to train the dogs to ignore these plants and not play with them. I have one when we have a pond of Tilapias before I threw one bulb and it grew on its own and the flower blooms at night and closes in the morning. I wish I could get those varieties that can be planted on a tank.
The flowering varieties cannot grow well since they need big space ponds.

@rsa101 To be honest I didn't have time to train all of them. I'm planning to grow them and transfer them to the fish ponds, if I get it right.

Hello @rsa101 My brother has a pond but it's filled with kois who have now grown. My concern is those dogs touching the plants.

I think my it was my brother's bigger pot that got it to have a flower. I hope i get to have a chance one day . @db20747

Good luck with your flower growing.
That flower in the picture is crying out to be painted. I think it would really suit acrylics.
