At the Heart of Our Story Now

At the heart of our story is the human experience of survival to this coronavirus these days. At first, I cannot believe why we need to deal with this killer virus. We cannot do anything but face what can bring to our lives. As much as possible, we need to be always in a safe mode and not be infected. The best course of action is to be fully vaccinated against it. Some of you knew that my biological parents are enjoying the new life in heaven. Don't get me wrong with my next statement. I think they got the better off not living in the current world that we have right now. Do you think that the new normal life will be attained this year? Image Credit: api.hub.jhu.edu

We are living in the new normal nowadays and it would take time to go back to the way things were. As for your parents you might say that they are in a better place now where no pain and struggle for life is needed but they will be missed now that they are not part of us physically.

@Shavkat I guess it was really hard for them to be separated. But at least now they are together again. I hope you find peace in accepting that they are not with you anymore. I think that is hard even I could not really tell if I had accepted my mom's passing away since there are times the feeling of the pain is still there. But I have to always remind myself that she is not around anymore and will move on.

@Shavkat Same here I was a mama's boy when she was alive. I think most sons are closer to their mom and daughters to their father. I missed her now and then but I try to remind myself that she is gone and I could not connect to her anymore physically. I know that the pain will always come every now and then and will stay as long as I live.

@rsa101 Honestly, I am closer to my mom. To cope with the loss, I just talk to her and even my father in the air. I will do it for the rest of my life.

I doubt things will ever get back to normal. I'm glad I was a child in the 50s and 60s. I think we had the best of it.

I am hoping for the best for millennial babies. I wanted them to experience life without this pandemic thing.

Same with my parents. Life will get better, but it will be a new normal for all of us.

Sometimes I can feel the new normal life when going out. There are some changes but we are trying to keep on adjusting to these changes.

It is hard to tell. The WHO seems to be expecting new variants.

Yes but look at this way. We have many basic things to be grateful for i.e. Food, clothing, shelter and family around us. We can't do much about current situation nor we know about the future but we can try to stay positive for our own good

I agree that we need to cherish having the basic needs and being surrounded by our support system.
