I find online dating kind of odd. Am more of a let us know each other naturally ,as friends and all will follow. Am not a I believe what you put on your profile kind of person ... you may be faking your profile or even a serial killer in real life Social media dating is not safe at all ..it needs meeting up in public places for safety reasons and hoping the guy is not faking a lifestyle

True , you have to be extra careful. You could do a background search to see if he's real. Most people beef up their profile to make others Interested

Yes, before trusting someone on line, you should personally know first any of his/her acquaintances. And not to trust everything the person says. One can always create fake data and information to impress others.

I dont rely on such a site. One should not do blind faith in a person by seeing the profile of a person on such sites. One should confirm the background and the character of the person before going ahead in any relationship.

Even though I met my husband of 13 years online, I agree with you. One has to be very careful these days. I've witnessed a scammer that has a whole business of pretending he's a girl to get money out of young men. He makes multiple fake accounts by taking online profile photos of real women (and their names!) and for a fee, he even trains others how to do that too!
