Arranging Flowers

My aunt and mom went into this Livelyhood program that our local governement office set up. No one volunteered despite of the good presentation, but my aunt did and the rest followed. When she came home, I thought some one gave her roses or something. By the way, the name of the flower was SunFlower. I wonder if the stem can grow since I got it cut to fit in a vase. I believe the stem won't grow. As far as I know, sunflower can be planted using the seed.
