Question about Microsoft Rewards (Bing Rewards): Why the Disparity?

That is: Why do you get three-times-as-many-points on the Microsoft Edge browser for the exact same task as you do on the Google Chrome browser?
The webpage I share here probably answers the question (TL:DR-yet 
), but it probably just says we should 'use Microsoft Edge to earn Rewards-points faster' and is fairly mum on 'why doing it on Google Chrome (but on the same website) earns points "slower"'.

Microsoft rewards you more for using a Microsoft product... not much surprise there.

What @healerWitch said. More rewards when you use their product instead of the competition. Wait till someday they only reward you while using their product.
