Adrian Peterson Arrested for Domestic Violence

In 2014 Adrian Peterson was arrested for child abuse for spanking his son with a switch, which led to cuts and bruises all over the boy.
Peterson had taken a non-contested plea for a misdemeanor reckless assault. It led him to a two year probation and fine of $4K as well as 80 hours of community service. The NFL took their own action and suspended him for one year.
Peterson has once again stepped into it.
On Sunday, the airport police received a call about a man being verbally abusive to a woman. When they arrived, Peterson was arguing with his wife.
The police arrested him, booked him and was released on bail after paying $50K.
The LA District Attorney has decided not to charge Peterson but it has been handed down to another attorney for review. He could be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.
His wife took up for her husband saying that it was just an argument between her husband and her. It was no one's business but theirs.
Peterson also claims it was just an argument and he was loud. The worst he did was take her ring off her finger and it left a small scratch.
Despite the trouble he seems to be in, Peterson has all intention to play again next season.

It might just have been an argument but it can escalate.

That's true of many things. There were other ways to handle it, which can also be said of many things. His wife is not pressing charges.

@sharonelton I don't see why he was arrested in general. I've had worse fights with my husband than what this was.

No he never hit her. Yes, you can be arrested for yelling. Especially in public.

It was an old fashioned punishment. The reason the kid was bruised was because it was a switch he used instead of his hand or a shoe. Old fashioned but still done.
