Amandine Lorenzo who is the owner of a three year old female American bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mixed breed dog needed the assistance of the Miami Beach firefighters after her dog named Tuna who she adopted from an animal shelter in Doral 18 months ago had the scare of her life when Tuna fell six feet from a seawall into Sunset Lake on Sunday morning. Two Miami Beach firefighters answered the emergency call from Amandine and they used a roof ladder to get into the bay and get Tuna back to the ground where she reunited with her owner. The two Miami Beach firefighters who rescued Tuna are officers Santis and Escuerdo with one of the firefighters carrying Tuna on his shoulder. It is interesting to learn that a dog owner and her pet were playing in a dog park when the accident happened. Amandine admitted that she had no choice but to call 911 to have the firefighters rescue her dog since no stranger in the dog park since no one was around to answer her plea for help. At least the dog is in good health and happy to be with her owner once again.

That is true since the poor dog could not get out of the lake under her own power.

Tuna could easily have drowned. With a name like that, maybe she thought she was a fish!!

@Deepizzaguy Maybe you should have changed his name. Some poor dogs are really terrified of thunder.

@JudyEv Come think of it I should have since Thunder was adopted from an animal shelter since his previous owner must have been an auto racing fan.

I know what you mean since I had a dog named Thunder and he was scared of hearing the noise of thunder inside of the home.

I know how you feel since I would freak out as well if my late dog jumped into a lake.
