Remembering Kindergarten

When I was in kindergarten it was in a church. (It is still standing.) Two nice ladies taught the class. I remember as if it were yesterday going up to the one and asking her for another graham cracker. I had never had them before and I liked them. She would give me another one nearly every day. Graham crackers have always been a favorite snack of mine.
I recall my mom sized down a dress of hers so I had one to wear for a play we put on. If I remember correctly I was a cabbage. Or it was about a cabbage patch. Don't recall. It was only about 64 years ago.

I remember being in a play when I was real little, it had to be when I was in kindergarten, I don't remember what the play was about but I do remember one thing that happened. My sister had smaller feet then I did, but I really liked a pair of shoes that she had, so I insisted on wearing them, I remember after being on stage for a little bit, I kicked the shoes off and threw then accoss the stage.

Our kindergarten teacher had a daughter, she was huge.The teacher put me in the back row(a very small child) and her daughter Debby, in the front row!

I remember Arrowroot cookies and dixie cups of apple juice, having a 'nap' on a blanket on the floor, having to wear slippers instead of shoes...

I remember my teacher, classmates and school very well. But that was only like 24years ago for me. (Though, my memory is very good either way).

I remember having to nap...and then I remember getting upset with the little boy next to me who jostled my arm and made me color outside the lines.

Cute! I remember my k teacher and the k playground area (separate from the other elementary grades). Somehow I remember my mom packing me a tuna sandwich every single day 
. . . but another classmate shared her tuna sandwich with me that I instantly liked. Her mom's secret was sweet relish . . . so that's when I introduced my mom to sweet relish

It's funny you brought up kindergarten, I have memories of that time, also. We were allowed to bring a light snack to school, such as a banana or an apple. I remember having a kindergarten graduation and switching from the basement of the high school to the Intermediate School across the field. The town was small, not very many residents.
