I am simply curious if any of you have attempted the Atkins Diet? If so, have you stuck with the diet? Have you quit? What have you liked and not liked? Do you see the diet as a tolerable lifestyle as-in for keeps? Thank you in advance for your opinions!

I have not tried it I am a big advocate for exercise, though.

I have tried several weight-loss fads and techniques but not Atkins. I do like their commercials with Rob Lowe. He almost convinced me to try it. The method I had the most success with was Noom. It was going great until the pandemic hit.

@Spontaneo As I recall, it was about $20-25 a month when I was on it. Not sure what the price is now. They do offer a free trial.

I tried it many years ago and I thought it was pretty good. I lost a few pounds, but don't remember a lot of details.

The diet is one of those low-carb diets. Kind-of like the South Beach diet.

To maintain a healthy glucose level, I follow a semi-version of the Atkin's Diet. Except, I allow various sweets each day, a very small amount. And I certainly don't eat large portions of meat, as I once did. My weight has never been a problem, instead it's diabetes. Mine is very mild, yet a pain in the neck.

Why not write articles on the topic of diabetes and submit to various publications? You have the writing background.

@Spontaneo I have thought about this, at times. But finding the right avenue, it's not there yet.
