I Almost Broke It

Yep, I started the afternoon off at work on the wrong foot. I went to the back to print out my UPC labels for my new stock that I was putting out today and the machine only printed two labels before it ran out of labels.
I went to the office and asked the owners if we had more labels and I was told that they would bring me some as soon as they found them. I went to the cash register and talked to the young lady I was relieving soon and waited patiently. I got the labels a few minutes later and proceeded to install the labels following the instructions on the lid. I installed the labels and had them feeding the correct way and proceeded with my job.
All of a sudden the machine is making a horrible noise and I see that the labels are jammed. I opened the machine up and took the labels out and inserted them again. Hit print...more noise. I took the labels out and tried to open the front of the machine to no avail.
I went back to the office and told them that I may have broken the machine; that I installed the labels and hit print and the machine stalled and made a noise. So one of the owners told me to give her a list of the labels I needed and she printed them out for me.
Later that afternoon the other owner went to the back and fixed the label maker. One of the labels had come off and stuck to the roller. I'm just jinxed! She came out and told me the label machine was back in order and I told her that I was glad that I didn't break it. I love how calm and collected these two ladies are. Nobody got upset. Nobody yelled. All good!

That's pretty mature on how to handle this kind of thing.

We really have a great group of ladies there for the most part. I get aggravated sometimes at those that do not interact with customers. It is for everyone's good--the longer they stay in the store, the more time for them to find your area and your stuff to buy! One younger lady sits behind the counter on her computer the whole time. She does not greet people or offer assistance the whole time customers are in the store. This is reflected in sales. I just don't understand why they want to be so passive.

@wolfgirl569 Yes! She said it happens all the time. She is the one with the patience to deal with it.
