Captain Darklight was a notorious bushranger, operating in the 1840s, around Maryborough, in Victoria, Australia.
When he was shot dead, during a daring bank robbery attempt, on the Ballarat bank, his wife, Susie took over his role as a bushranger.
She was smarter than her late husband, and did not attempt to rob any banks, but she used to rustle sheep from the sheep farmers, in her area.
She was arrested once, but the man who she had stolen the sheep from told the police that he had given her a few sheep, as he was sorry for her, after she had lost her husband, and so she was acquitted of this crime.
And so, Susie continued in her thieving, and she got away with it, as she never took too many sheep, just enough to give her some money to live on, in the old shack, that her late husband had left her.
She died still a free woman, as none of the farmers stolen from, ever testified against her.
She died one night in her sleep, and she was found by a neighbouring farmer, a few days after.
She was 48.
A note was found, on the old rickety wooden table in her kitchen, that said.
"I meant no harm, to anyone, but what else was there for a poor woman like me to do?"
She must have known that she was sick and dying too.
And, she thought that there was nothing that she could do about that either.
She had accepted her fate, and died.
Should we accept our fate, and our lot, or should we fight against our soul's wishes, for our life?
Perhaps, her soul allowed her to experience dishonesty, to learn more about honesty. It does not interfere in the free living of our lives.
But, her life was tempered, by her conscience too.
She only stole what she needed, and which was surplus for the farmers, as she always picked the most sickly looking sheep to steal, and to cut up for her meals, and to sell the rest of the meat to her friends, and neighbours, for a very reasonable price, far cheaper than the going price of such meat, at the time.
Nobody commits any sins from the other side of life, as all is spiritual there, but on the other hand, they do watch, our side sinning, and try to show us the error of our ways.
Our soul does not lead us into sin, nor does the devil, as we are always choosing sin ourselves, with our mind, because of our lack of wisdom gained yet, in our living from the love in our heart, exclusively so.

Australia was famous for its bushrangers. There were women ones too.

I was surprised to read that there were a few female bushrangers here in Australia too, and so it prompted me to write this story.
I think that men have it more in them to be gangsters, thugs, bullies, criminals, and stand-over-men too.
Men are more lazy, and inclined to take the seemingly "easy" way of crime too.
There have not been too many lady Hitlers, or Putins, in our world history, either.
(Perhaps, Mary 1, a past queen of England, was one such bad egg, though, as bad as they were too)

@innertalks I recall Indian history has a few great warrior women.
One was Rani of Jhansi.
I think men and women leaders lead differently.
Women appeal more to our hearts.
And not off with their heads like what is happening now.
I find it strange that wars are resorted to in the twenty-first century that kill the most innocent - have we progressed at all after all these years?

@Shiva49 There have been a few women serial killers too.
Killing seems to be a part of our animal soul, and if we neglect our spiritual soul, we might go down that terrible path of ruthlessism, without a heart of love attached to us too.
We can fill out heart with love, coming to us via our soul, or animal savagery, coming to us from our body instincts alone, tempered with an out of control ego, and mind too.
