Panic Buying: Vegetables!!!

One of my adult students was so late for our class tonight. Her alibi is that the Covid-19 cases spiked in Guangdong province in China, which is too near in Hong Kong. After she got off work, she went straight to the nearest market and bought lots of vegetables. Basically, she went wild into panic buying and thinks that eating them will protect her against this killer virus.
Is she reasonable with her opinion?

@Shavkat But there's also exercise, getting fresh air, being under the sun . . . so many factors can help keep us as healthy as possible. The thing is even the healthiest people can get a viral infection - so there is no guarantee.

It seems that everyone has their own opinion about how to stop the virus. I, for one thing, whould not go to any of the countries that are taking masks off. For me, social distance, cleanness and masks are the best help. Vaccines too. Now veggies are always healthy. But I don´t think that the will stop ailments.

@Shavkat I´m more afraid of young people. They take less care.

@marguicha I agree with you. They are more vulnerable to this virus.

I wouldn't think so. Talk of the virus has kind of shifted now as the focus is on Ukraine. It isn't as prominent on the news as it once was.
