Would Putin use nuclear weapons? Probably not but he would have no problem using a tactical nuke in the Ukraine if he cant hold the country. These weapons have lower radiation finger prints but massive explosions. He is brutal Cold War relic. Def Con 3 means nuclear defense is at 15 minute readiness, missiles being fueled in the silos, subs and nukes being moved into place. Def Con two means nuclear was is expected, 6 minutes readiness to fire. You all know what Def Con One is. It feels like the first months of Covid all over again, an insidious evil spreading fear across the world. Crippling Russia's economy is unfair on regular Russians but most do love him and vote for him. The Wests subliminal plan/hope is he goes no further than the Ukraine. If he attacks the Baltic states in NATO then it is war with Europe. The main reason NATO didn't want the Ukraine in NATO is because they knew Putin would attack it. I think our best hope is restless oligarchs will turn on him as we cut off their billions and tacit exile abroad. The west lied and told us Saddam Hussein had WMD so to force the attack, knowing all along they didn't have WMD, why the west attacked. Putin has done everything Saddam did but we wont attack Putin because we know he has WMD and he will use them. Are we any better than Putin? No.
