Lucky Me! I did not attend...

...Middle School before. As they said, 'The sooner, the better.' Please do not think that I was accelerated. The reason that we do not have it is not in our educational system during my time in schooling. I am not feeling bad about it, since I graduated earlier than students these days here. A few years back, they added it. Thus, most parents were whining about it because it prolongs their sacrifices for their children's education. Are you having the same fate as me during your school days? Image Credit: pm1.narvii.com

@Faster16 Oh, I see. It is a matter of having a different educational system here and there.

The current students are under tremendous pressures. Besides Academics, they are expected to excel in many other curriculars like Activities, Sports etc. Many years ago, schooling was much more chilled out but whoever wanted to learn a lot could do that. Now it is much more stressful.

We still have the same setup pretty much but I think the age for leaving school is now set at 17. Some do go to technical colleges before this.

If it helps to develop a child from becoming a much better person when he grows up then I guess they need to go through it. I think that education sgould never be shortchanged and we should continue to learn even outside of the schoolyard.

Not every country refers to part of a student's education as middle school. We started to school in what we refer to as grade school and then graduated to high school.

I went 13 years. The first 7 were kindergarten through 6th grade. Then 7th and 8th was considered jr high school. The last 4 years we called high school. Now that same school call kindergarten through 5th elementary, Then 6th through 8th is called middle school and 9th through 12th is still called high school. Still the same amount of years
