Jake Bosacker who was in Minnesota a few years ago on a Christmas holiday break to visit his family in Minneapolis four years ago was pulled over a Minnesota State Trooper named Keenan Jones who was ready to go home after he worked his afternoon shift when he decided to do one more work detail that day.
Jake who at that time attending Texas Christian University (TCU) majoring in criminal justice admitted when he was pulled over for drunk driving after he spent time with friends at a bar was going to lose his dream of being a law enforcement officer would be history due to a record of drunk driving on his record.
Jake was surprised that Officer Jones did not lecture him or scold him why he was driving drunk behind the wheel of a highway.
Officer Jones showed compassion for Jake by telling him to pursue his dream in life and not allow the incident of getting drunk while driving an auto mark him for life. Just repent of his sin and start a new life.
Jake did take the advice of the state trooper and gave up drinking alcohol so he could focus on completing his studies at TCU which Jake did by graduating from TCU recently and being happily married to his wife Natalie while still living in Fort Worth Texas today.
Jake still has dreams of being a law enforcement officer while Officer Jones still has his dreams of being a pilot.
Words do have power to make better persons or make a bad situation even worse. Officer Jones and Jake remain friends to this day.

I am sure that Jake will find work as a police officer since our society forgives persons who have made errors in the past and repented of them.

@RubyHawk I hope so as well since Jake deserves a second chance in life to pursue his dream of being a police officer.

That is true since the trooper was able to make him see the errors of his past life was not to define him for life.

I like the way that Officer Jones showed compassion for Jake since felt like he was a failure and he wanted to end his life that evening.
