Wasting Money Over Bike Lanes / myLot

In my city, the officials installed bike lanes. For bikers, it will be beneficial to them. Now, it is a big issue because they made the roads narrower. In addition, the locals are thinking that they just wasted the money of people.

That is one problem politicians have when they make bike lanes in a city. The road that autos travel on where they share a bike gets smaller.

I agree. It seems that they are not thinking. What matter most for them is to waste money and earn some thing.

@Shavkat It bothers me that politicians throw money away on dumb items like artwork on the median of main highways.

I do agree with you. Unless the locals wanted to be bikers here, then the bike lanes would be useful in the city.

This is what they do here, especially Colorado..many bikers ..they have more lanes than cars

Our caustic nickname for our city’s mayor is “Mayor McBikeLane” (after Mayor McCheese in the old McDonald’s commercials in the 70s). He has orchestrated the same thing, which has turned the once smooth-flowing downtown traffic into a mess…because, as you said, the lanes are narrower.

I think that our city officials here are not thinking. Since birth, we never had these bike lanes. It seems that they are using people's money to gain something from it.

People in vehicles try to run over bikers here. They get mad because there are no bike lanes so people riding bikes slow the traffic down. I quit riding my bike because a guy in a truck chased me into a yard trying to run me over.
