Tracy Hodges who is an elementary school teacher at Cedar Hill Elementary School in Ardmore Alabama is grateful that all of her 11 students who were in her classroom two months ago did the right thing to seek help from the school nurse after Tracy passed out after suffered a seizure while she teaching her class reading lessons.
Tracy who had COVID 19 at the time of the incident passed out on her desk. After the students were able to get the school nurse to assist her to recover from her brief sleep, Tracy went on quarantine for a period of one week until she was able to teach her students once again.
The 11 students who are first graders were rewarded by the authorities in Limestone County with medals and certificates as well as being given the title "Hodges' Heroes" for their quick thinking in seeking help for their school teacher who could have died in the incident inside of her classroom had the nurse come to assist her.
It is amazing that children as young as five and six years acting in a calm manner to seek help during a moment that would scare any other person inside of the classroom.

My kids have seen moments like that and we talked them through most of them. When someone passes out and worn responses call 9/11 or get an adult. Someone has a seizure don’t touch them or restrain them call 9/11 and get and adult.

@ShyBear88 You are correct since another young child would have freaked out.

That is true since the kids are amazing how they were calm to alert the nurse that their teacher needed help.

I agree with you that the children deserve the title of heroes for alerting the school nurse of danger.
