Eduardo Martinez who is a native of Honduras is one man who is very grateful that a young lady who was not identified by name did a kind act of returning his wallet that had $4,000 dollars plus his other items inside while he was on his way to work in Times Square on Wednesday morning. After Eduardo found out that he dropped his wallet on the street near Times Square when he arrived to his office, he immediately went to the area where he remembers losing his wallet where he two New York City police officers told him that a young lady who was in the same place where he dropped his wallet were kind enough to give them his wallet until he would look for it. After Eduardo was able to prove that the lost wallet was his, the police officers returned his wallet and he thanked them for their kindness. Not to second guess Eduardo but why would he be walking in the streets of New York City with a huge amount of money in his wallet? He is very lucky that a honest young lady did not steal the money in his wallet since the majority of us who would see a wallet with a huge amount of money would have stolen it a heartbeat.

Same here since these hard economic times, some people will steal just to survive.

Thank goodness he got his wallet back and that there was an honest person that found it. My question as well -- what was he doing with so much cash in his wallet?

Eduardo was lucky since another person would have stolen the wallet and kept the money for him or herself.

Perhaps she is like me and found out at a very young age like 7 or 8 yrs old that stealing anything large or even small brings bad luck and a bad conscience.

I know what you mean since New York City has a huge population that it would have been hard for Eduardo to locate where his missing wallet was when he dropped it.
