is a British detective show set on the fictional island of Saint Marie and filmed on Guadalupe. The cast has changed almost completely over the years the show has been running. Each new Detective Inspector takes some getting used to, but they've all been fun to watch. What I enjoy best about the show is the setting. Next to visiting Ireland, I long to travel among the islands of the Caribbean preferably by sailboat.

We've seen quite a few of these episodes too and have watched the various DIs settling into their roles.

I am waiting for the next season to come out over here. In the meantime, I'm watching all the old episodes over again.

I enjoy the laid-back pace of the show. This one, like Father Brown and Sister Boniface, is relaxing to watch.

::sigh:: That’s like Hawaii Five-O, just watch it for the scenery. (Well, the guys watched the original for the hula girl’s midriff during the opening credits…..)

Hawaii Five-O was originally on CBS and we didn't have a CBS affiliate where I grew up in the 1970s, so I missed all those great shows on that network then.

I only tuned into this one because the 'Cat' from Red Dwarf was in it. Never finished an episode. Incidentally, if Magpie Murders pops up, I enjoyed that one

I think I might have seen Magpie Murders on the list of detective shows on Brit Box. If I can find it, I'll give it a look.

Or maybe a yacht. You see a lot of those around during the winter and summer tourist seasons.

I watched something like that on PBS. I don't think that was the name of the show, but it was similar. Something different to view.

I like the pace and the acting better than that on most US-produced detective/police shows.

I watched it for a few episodes but other shows held my interest more. I do hope you get to go one day there. I too would have loved seeing Ireland but too late now,

I will surely love this show because it made me relaxed seeing beach sceneries.
