The sweet potato plantations in Bengal grow well in spring.

West Bengal in India has fertile alluvial soil. As river Ganges flows across the state the lands adjacent to them are fertile for growth of different crops. The sweet potato plantations grow well in the Spring season. The plantations look like potato plantations. Sweet potato is called ranga aloo in bengali. It is eaten as vegetable along with rice by the bengalies.
