How do bus companies get away with such bad service ?

I catch the bus twice a day ( sometimes more if I am going shopping)Monday to Friday and I have to say that the bus drivers do seem to have a mind of their own.
I have had to complain yet again about a driver.
This time I was standing at a bus stop and the driver was called round by another driver who had stopped at his correct stop , behind ours. As the driver pulled around him he should have then pulled into our stop. Did he ?
No !
Indeed instead , he looked over to the stop , saw me standing there and shrugged his shoulders, waved his hands in the air and drove on !!!
I then had to wait another 30 minutes for the next bus...I had heavy shopping and had come from work so had had nothing to eat , and this was mid afternoon !
I complained and had a reply today to say they are looking in to it.
I have asked for follow up feedback , but I doubt that I shall get it !

I did complain and had a standard reply saying that they are looking into it. I will email again for a response.

My guess is they know they’re the “only game in town,” so what are you going to do other than either accept their poor behavior or walk to where you want to go?
I’ve heard US airline service is like that, but I wouldn’t know. I haven’t been on a plane since 1989.

I have noticed this behavior from the bus drivers whenever I took the Greyhound bus last year.
