I´m sharing some cherry tomatoes with Luna.

My sister brought me a lot of cherry tomatoes from her veggy patch in Valdivia. But Claudia´s cherry tomatoes are sweeter and their skin is lighter. So I will make a tomato soup with them (I won´t tell her though). Some of the tomatoes were too ripe and squashed with the trip. I asked Luna if she wanted them and she barked a yes

So I cut them in half and placed them over her dish of dog food. She ate the tomatoes but she has to be very hungry to eat the rest. It is clear that Luna prefers food for human beings. But she can only eat my leftovers.

I noticed that also my cat loves more human food. I use the too ripe tomatoes to make sauce for pasta. Remove the seeds if they are too acidic, it easy, squeeze them out.

I boiled them and will pass them through a strainer.

@LadyDuck I do that for pasta sauce too but now I want to prepare a soup that I might take as a snack instead of one of my usual coffees

I started to feed Princesa (my first dog) food for human beings when she was a small puppy and it took me ages to get her to eat dog food.

I don't know that dogs like to eat cherry tomatoes. As in the past I thought it might be too sour for dogs.

I love cherry tomatoes in salads, I am glad Luna enjoyed them, I never knew dogs liked tomatoes,
