The "Warrior" Gene

Perhaps you have read about Dr. James Fallon's work. He is a neuroscientist who has done over twenty years of study into the brain of serial killers and psychopaths. He found that some of his relatives were psychopaths. He had them all submit CAT scans and he found that many had a pronounced difference in the way their brains looked. There is a gene called an MAO-A gene which is known as this "warrior gene" and it makes it so that the brain doesn't respond to serotonin. Serotonin has a calming effect on the brain and those with this gene do not respond to it. His kids and wife had normal-looking brains by the way.
