Little Things Make Me Smile

Was cleaning earlier today and I have many treasures that belonged to my late family. Many of these will get my attention, as I clean especially. This little bird house was my sister's. She kept it on her shelf in her bedroom. These tiny moments mean the world to me. Sure, they are material things but it only takes a small memory to take me back to the good times. She laughed a lot and was a happy person. A great cook and very talented in decorating. She is missed every day. I smile when I feel her memories all around me. Photo is mine. @CarolDM

I am sitting in a rocking chair that belonged to my dear friend. She would have turned 82 this past February. I miss her dearly. This was the chair I would sit in whenever I spent time at her home. So many conversations were had while sitting and rocking in this chair.

I know those kinds of things can keep the memories of your loved ones alive. I have a picture of my grandparents I really like that I keep in my bedroom. They were all dressed up for a rare night out. My grandma even had her hair done. I like looking at that pic.

@CarolDM I went into the upstairs of Dad's old garage. I spotted a bird feeder Mom&Dad gave me, many years ago. Seeing it really touched my heart!

The little bird house looks very nice, especially with the two little birds. There are always things that bring us memories about certain people or moments. Hope you'll always feel loved when thinking about your sister.

I love it. and so many memories attached to it. Yes, she was a lot like him. Always making jokes and a big laugh. She would have tears sometimes, from laughing so hard.
