Climate Change

I have been thinking about this subject a lot lately. Habitat for our animals(polar bears for instance) is going fast. Water is becoming a questionable commodity. Droughts are everywhere. We've seen the footage on social media of the horrible fires in California this last year. They've been around for years(wildfires that is) just more of them happening of late. We need to see a change in several areas or things are going to get worse, not just here in the U.S. but worldwide. I think we all have our own ideas and opinions about how these things could change and, even how to go about it. There are ways we can help too. Here is a list of possible ways to help with climate change: * Volunteer in your community. Give of your time in areas you believe in. * Install solar panels. If interested check with your local utility company for more information. * Write letters to elected officials. If you have ideas on programs or ways to help write to your favorite elected official whether it is a politician or your mayor. * Post opinions on social media. So many like Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. are great for starting conversations on a myriad of subjects. * Write letters to an editor of a printed or online publication. * Attend a rally or public event to build awareness about climate change.

We could do all that sure, but the fact remains, this has been happening since the start of time. When mankind realized how to use our Earth's resorceses for themselves. You can only really take care of yourself, you can't force others to do what they don't want to do.

Amen. It's not as if there is anything that can be done to prevent or delay the earth from doing what it has always done.

But, that doesn't mean we shouldn't do our part. It's getting worse. You don't have to force anyone to do anything. Just be active and state your opinion when you are able to.

@Vikingswest1 ......But, what if we could slow it down? Leave our loved ones with a longer time at enjoying what we have.

Climate change? Oh you're talking about the climate change agenda where we are all supposed to believe changing weather is our fault rather than a normal and totally natural occurrence..? I do agree we should all be mindful of our environment and consciously protect it from harm. Trash in our oceans (that sort of thing) should not be happening and the countries responsible should be cleaning it up instead of dumping it there and then crying for other countries to contribute (huge amounts of money) for clean up which they never spend the money on in the first place. It's a ruse like everything else political.

I'm glad you at least agree with part of it. An important part.

I think in this situation if everyone is not of one mind it is every man and woman for themselves doing what is best for their own families,

I have solar panels in my house and I do everything I can to protect the environment and save water. If we all do our best the world wouldn't be facing this climate changes.

Man needs to recycle more; and more companies are needed to harvest recyclable waste from landfills. And don't get me started about plastic pollution. It's beyond horrible.
