if you've been following or not following the Oscars you may have already heard that Will Smith just slapped Chris Rock for making an inappropriate joke about his wife.
Some are calling out Will Smith for assaulting Chris Rock while others say Chris deserved it.
What do you guys think? Chris? Will? or were they both wrong...

Fans from all sides have differing views about this. Maybe Will has acted on impulse but a lot felt that Chris made an insensitive remark knowing that his wife has a health condition or something.

definitely insensitive.
As comedians, they're supposed to be able to "read the room" and know which jokes were supposed to be acceptable to the audience or not.
Not that this should happen but There are stories of stand-ups assaulted because their jokes didn't go over so well with their audience.

@NatsuYeung Really? Wow, that's kinda bad, about the last part you mentioned. Many people said that was staged but I doubt so. The dude was not complimenting his wife so it was like a chain reaction.
I guess Will could have responded not reacted. What if one day the couple go out say, for a nice meal and other people say the same stuff to his wife? Will he punch them all too? That will be unhealthy in the long run and doesn't make sense whatsoever.
Perhaps Will Smith acted in a moment of folly. But that doesn't change the fact that he's still a good husband and a dad, plus a good actor.

Smith is a prick. Bringing thuggery to the Academy Awards.
Chris Rock is a comedian and pokes fun at people. That's what he does for a living. Smith overreacted and made a fool of himself.

@PhredWreck
It changed the way I think of him. If he can explode and lose it and assault someone while wearing a tuxedo in front of an audience, imagine how he acts off camera.
He definitely needs a time-out.
