Chowhound is officially gone

I was surprised this morning to see that the site was still online as they announced that March 28 was the day that they were pulling the plug. The site remained online for most of the day but is now gone. It makes me sad. I've learned so much about cookbooks, dishes, cooking techniques, etc. The site was one of my most trusted for food and cooking advice. I planned all of our meals on our Vegas vacation years ago based on restaurant reviews and advice from the site. We ate like kings! I was gutted when Epinions shut down. I'm upset with the Chowhound closure. I hate to see these great sites close down.
