Robin Williams died of suicide in August of 2014. It wasn't until two months after he died that his wife learned for sure what killed her husband. I just watched a very good documentary about the beloved and genius, Robin Williams, called "Robin's Wish"(2021). It shows the months leading to August 2014. How lucky Susan was to have been in a relationship with him. Such a loving man, who couldn't care for him? He was having trouble remembering lines, trouble sleeping. He had been misdiagnosed with Parkinson's disease. There are 70 billion neurons in the brain and they were slowly disintegrating. "I just want to reboot my brain," he would say at one point. When he and his wife talked about what they wanted their legacy to be and Robin had said he wanted to help people not be afraid. Can you imagine a man like Robin not being able to remember lines? No longer being able, or wanted to, ride his bike when he used to ride from 10 to sometimes as much as 40-50 miles. His brain was giving him misinformation. A few months before his death he was being continually tested but nothing was showing up. He was experiencing depression(which they thought was what caused the suicide), insomnia, anxiety, confusion, delusions, self-doubt, and visual hallucinations. He began to isolate himself. To think of Robin Williams as "fragile" is simply bizarre. If you are a fan(who isn't?)you really should see this documentary. I saw it on Peacock Channel but, you can see it on YouTube at this URL:

It's still so sad when I think about it. I always really enjoyed the movies I saw him in. Such an amazing actor and comedian. He definitely remains one of my favourites.
