That is just nuts. They all said they wouldn't vote for the Build Back Better legislation because they were fine with the $35/month limit on insulin part but had issues with other parts of the bill. Sooooooo the House presented a stand alone bill just dealing with capping insulin costs at $35/month. . . and 193 Republicans voted against it. I cannot even understand this. Forget the fact that they lied and said they supported it. Insulin can cost like $3000 per month out of pocket for people with no health insurance or crappy insurance. Aren't these representatives supposed to want to IMPROVE the lives of their constituents? I am disgusted with this latest vote. How could anyone vote against lowering and limiting the price of an essential medication?

@mythociate Fair point but why does the party hold everything hostage and before you say Democrats do that too, no most of them do not, sure the Chuck Shumers why I never liked him but they not even as close as that. I am going to run my slogan will be we will only tax you what corporate America Charges you. Its so simple Corporate America raise prices and government then goes watch my tax hand. They raise prices and government gets more money. Meaning you should just be as mad at corporations as government but lets take easy way out governments fault.

@crossbones27 I hate to defend Republicans, but they aren't the ones in control of the price. If they tried to be, it would be government-overreach ... like 'back in the USSR' (or maybe 'in Mother Russia')

How much does it cost to produce insulin (synthetic, obviously)? Why not just buy it from 'someone who sells it at a little above that cost'?
