Hero dog alerts his family when a fire breaks out outside of their home

Thanks to the alert actions of a male dog named C*oter who alerted the five members of his family on Thursday morning late last month when the dog who was inside the home noticed a fire outside of the home as the dog looked through the sliding door. The dog who is a new member of the family whose name was not released to the public were sound asleep when they were awakened by the dog barking as his way of saying "Wake up." The five family members did manage to get out of the home safe and sound as well as the hero dog before the Hopkins Hill (Rhode Island) Fire Department arrived to put out the fire. Hopkins Hill Fire Chief Frank Brown and his investigation team believe based on the evidence that the fire started in the exterior of the house. It is not known how severe the damage the fire caused to the home and if the five family members will be able to stay in their home or have to find a shelter until they get back on their feet.
