Interior design school? Check. Cute house to fix up? Also check. Grumpy, sexy neighbor who is going to get in the way of all of your plans? Check. Unfortunately. Grace Travis definitely has it all figured out. Okay, not really. But in between finishing school and working nine million odd jobs, she'll get her degree and her dream job. Most important, she'll have a place to belong. When an opportunity arises to fix up - and live in - a little house on the beach as her final design project, Grace is all in. Until her biggest roadblock moves in next door. Noah Jansen knows how to make a deal. As a real estate developer he knows he's found something special. Something he can even call home. Provided he can expand by taking over the house next door - the house with the combative and beautiful woman living in it. With the rules for being neighborly out the window, Grace and Noah are in an all-out feud. But, sometimes, your nemesis can show you that home is always where the heart is. A frothy, effervescent romantic comedy from the author of "Ten Rules for Faking It", Sophie Sullivan's latest delivers a slow-burn romance that will have you delighted from start to finish. ~~~~ I received this book in a new subscription box called Hushbug Book Box. It's a Canadian company and the owner is awesome to deal with. The romance trope for this book is called 'Enemies to Lovers'. I am not a fan of enemies to lovers. The sub trope is considered 'grumpy and sunshine' where one character is grumpy and one is sweet and happy. Grumpy is usually the guy and sunshine the girl, but that has been changing in more recent novels. The roles have been flipped. In my opinion when I first started this book I felt they were both grumpy. I am more of a fan of 'Friends to Lovers'. But as I read this book the more I enjoyed it. I loved both characters, Grace and Noah. They weren't so much grumpy as determined. And if you are a fan of home makeover television shows, this book is for you. The renovations are descriptive enough to be able to picture in one's mind. As for the lovers aspect, no steam here. The romance is slow moving, sweet and tame. The relationship development was very believable, true to life. I highly recommend this book if this is your kind of read.

Judging by how fast I'm reading books these days, I sure have some good ones that were gifted to me.

A tame romance is underrated.

Yes, sometimes too much description is, well, too much.
