Disaster

On the way home from the convention, we stopped at a local grocery store. Personally, I needed to grab some diet cola. The 24-packs were stacked so high above my head that I could not reach them. As I attempted to grab a case, the case fell down, the case broke, cans went everywhere. I told a cashier and she called for help on her loud speaker. Here came a young man with a smile on his face. I apologized a zillion times but asked him how was I supposed to reach. He grabbed the next case for me and placed the case in my buggy. I paid and left the store embarrassed. Why do they pack 24 cans of drinks in a flimsy cardboard box and then stack the flimsy boxes so high that you cannot reach? What do you think?

Not sure there is a good reason for any of this. Maybe they have not had the experience of being too short to reach.
